About Bulungkunum Corporation
Bulungkunum Corporation Limited is the traditional owners' own organisation in Ramingining, Central Arnhem Land. It was established in 2014 by the Djadawitjibi, Ganalpingu and Dabi clans to build economic independence, wellbeing and cultural strength for Aboriginal people of Ramingining, on their own country and on their own terms.
The corporation is a registered charity and a not-for-profit. Every clan group has equal representation, and decisions are made with the informed consent of the clans they affect. Everything Bulungkunum earns stays in Ramingining and goes back into the community.
What we do
Property and leases We hold six Section 19 agreements with the Arnhem Land Aboriginal Land Trust and have administered leases in the Ramingining township since 2015. Our sites provide offices, housing and business premises for organisations that deliver health and community services locally.
The Ramingining Business Hub the Hub on Lot 124 is a Yolŋu-led enterprise and service precinct in the centre of town, home to service providers and local businesses.
Fishing Our fishing business creates local jobs, keeps traditional practice strong and supports safe fishing on sea country.
Community support We help families when they need it most: funerals, ceremony, sport, emergency transport home, eye tests and glasses, and repairs to housing and vehicles.
